In 2016, when the South Carolina Republican establishment was lining up behind anyone but Donald Trump, Mark Smith stood with him — on stage, in person, in his own backyard.

That year, as President of the East Cooper Republican Club, Mark personally welcomed Donald Trump and Governor Henry McMaster to Mt. Pleasant — and shared the stage with the future President at a rally right here in South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District. He attended both Trump Inaugurations, was a guest at the White House, and has stood with the President every step of the way.

Mark didn’t wait to see which way the wind was blowing. He didn’t wait for Trump to win primary after primary. He stood with Donald Trump when it took conviction to do so — and he’s stood with him ever since.
